Hi there, apparently I need to be upbeat and tell you a little about Samplemunch, well hows about we say feck it to the upbeat and just talk chops !!!
Samplemunch is here to remind the world about sampling, for some reason sampling in the last few years has turned in to multi gigabytes and sound packs filling up hard drives everywhere, unfortunately music hasn’t actually gotten better with all this nonsense, don’t get me wrong I love my multi gigabyte pianos and such, but the art of sampling snippets and breaks and 300 beats that fit in to a hundred meg are being forgotten, erm no, just no, a big no, and just one more quick no.
People have forgotten the art of blasting (maybe you named it something else) that is, resampling via garbage, be it cassette decks, crappy reels, vinyl, a piece of crap mixer or whatever else, so we will be selling a few bits here and there, making a documentary or two, releasing some sample content (but if it’s gigabytes it will take you a lifetime to explore haha) tutorials and just all kinds of general samplist goodness.
It doesn’t matter if you have software or hardware samplers, there is very little difference, ignore all this “software is sterile” bullshit, get a sampler and……
Sample it, Loop it, Crunch it, Munch it !!
